Is there a phone application?
The short answer is no, this is a web based service and unfortunately it is difficult to present the amount of information needed on such a small screen. To have the best user experience we suggest using a computer or tablet.
Are these actual patients?
We are very lucky to have had patients consent to us using their radiographs, intraoral photos, and clinical findings. However to respect their privacy and follow HIPAA procedures we have completely anonymized the information. Furthermore the “Patient Profile”, including the profile picture, associated with each patient is randomly generated by AI and therefore not representative of anyone.
If I was invited by a school how do I sign up?
Many times when we get this question the user has attempted to use the “Sign Up” portal rather than the “Log In” portal. If you have received an email invitation that means you have already been signed up by your school. Please be sure you are “Logging In” on the proper portal, with the temporary password that was assigned to you in the invitation email.
Is this meant to teach me dentistry?
No. This is not a replacement for attending classes and putting your own effort into becoming a competent clinician. This is designed as an adjunct to your dental education, a study tool, as well as to prepare you for national and regional boards exams.
Why are E1 and E2 lesions considered healthy?
We understand that there are many different philosophies when it comes to diagnosing and treating caries. We made this generalization solely for students using our platform as an individual. Schools have the right to change this rule as they see fit.
First we would like to note that we recognize this is a generalization that is not 100% accurate, obviously E1-2 lesions are forms of demineralization of the tooth. In your own practice it is up to you to determine how to handle these situations.
Our reasoning stemmed from 2 main factors. 1) Research shows that if a lesion has not reached the DEJ there is a reasonably high probability the lesions progress can be halted. 2) Due to the variable nature of radiographs and the chance of overlap in diagnostic regions we found that to get a consistent and acceptable answer E1-2 lesions would need to be considered “healthy”.
Sign Up Questions?
Having Trouble Signing Up for School Access?
If you've been invited to join our platform as part of your school program, you should receive an email containing a temporary password along with instructions for signing up. To ensure a smooth sign-up process, please keep the following three key points in mind:
Access the Correct Page: Navigate to the "Log In" page, not the "Sign Up" page. This is where you’ll enter your temporary password.
Temporary Password Care: Enter the temporary password exactly as it appears, including letters, numbers, and symbols. Ensure there are no spaces before or after the password.
Correct Email Address: Use the same email address to which your invitation was sent. This ensures that your sign-up process is linked to your correct user profile. It will not work if you use an alternate email.
